The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor and resolve intercompany accounting positions across the 80+ entities of our large and global group.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Act as the in-house expert on intercompany balance sheet and P&L data, with deep familiarity of open positions and interactions between our group companies
  • Monitor and report upon the usage of our sophisticated global intercompany matching tool (which operates on our S/4HANA platform used by all AD companies globally)
  • Act as key user for our intercompany system tools in S/4HANA
  • Reporting to regional FDs and the Group FC on the status of intercompany reconciliations through both routing analysis and ad-hoc escalation of discrepancies
  • Deep dive analysis of discrepancies and problems in conjunction with Finance teams globally
  • Correction of large scale errors and discrepancies
  • Formal interface with external auditors on a global basis on the operation and outputs of intercompany controls
  • Liaison with Treasury team to drive quality consistent documentation of intercompany positions
  • Monitor and report on settlement of open positions in conjunction with Treasury, including analysis of accrued un-invoices balances

KEY STAKEHOLDERS:

  • Regional controllers and accountants – key counterparts in daily work
  • Group Financial Controller and regional Finance Directors – responsible for quality of financial outcomes
  • Treasury team – liaison on intercompany loans and flows
  • Group financial reporting and consolidation team – liaison on clearance of accounting matters
  • Auditors – a key customer of reconciled outputs

Your Profile:

  • You are competent in financial data and analysis and comfortable with large amounts of information
  • You are experienced in financial disciplines, ideally with appropriate qualification (e.g. ACA, CPA)
  • You are able to master complex and sophisticated system tools – experience with SAP and S/4HANA in particular would be helpful
  • You are able to work on complex problems jointly with colleagues
  • You are fluent in English
  • You believe in collaboration and joint goals
