Cloud Platform Engineer
For our team in Hyderabad, we are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team at Senior Officer level. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our software development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in DevSecOps practices, public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and application development. Additionally, a deep understanding of security best practices and a passion for continuous learning are essential for this role. This role will report into the Head of Cloud Platform Engineer. It is a hybrid role with 2/3 onsite per week required.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Implement and manage DevOps processes and pipelines using tools such as Git, Azure/Github Pipelines, and Terraform.
- Utilize your expertise in Azure and AWS to design and implement secure cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Linux and Kubernetes, including Service Meshes, and possess relevant certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or CKS.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Python and Bash to automate tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
- Implement A/B testing, Canary deployments, and Circuit breaking strategies to ensure smooth application deployments.
- Configure and maintain mTLS and Authorization policies for enhanced security.
- Work with container runtime security tools like Falco, SECCOMP, AppArmor, and Secure runtimes.
- Create and enforce policies using Open Policy Agent (OPA) Gatekeeper.
- Champion a product and open-source mindset, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Hard skills:
- DevSecOps (Git, (Azure/Github) Pipelines, IAC, GitOps)
- Public cloud knowledge (Azure and AWS – at least some basic certifications and work experience to prove this)
- Linux/Kubernetes skills/certification (Service Meshes, Linux Runtime security - Preferably one of the CKA/CKAD/CKS suite)
- Application development knowledge
- Profound understanding of CIS benchmarks
- Proficiency in a scripting language (Preferably Python and Bash)
