JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Head of Resilience & Business Continuity, the Business Continuity Senior Officer is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Alter Domus's global Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), ensuring the organization can effectively respond to disruptions, emergencies, and crises. This role requires proven expertise in operating enterprise-wide BCMS frameworks across multiple jurisdictions and time zones within complex financial services environments.
You will be the primary point of contact for Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), Crisis Management, and Incident Management within the EMEA region. Beyond EMEA regional execution, the wider BCMS - including governance and alignment with ISO22301 standard, Disaster Recovery coordination, the testing and continual improvement programme, and stakeholder reporting is centrally managed, and this role contributes to those activities as part of the global Business Continuity Management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain a comprehensive ISO 22301 compliant BCMS across the organization’s global operations including governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) with documented procedures that guide the organization to respond, recover, resume, and restore to pre-defined operational levels following disruptions.
- Act as the primary point of accountability for BCMS execution and maturity across the EMEA region, working closely with the Global Head of Resilience & Business Continuity to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide objectives.
- Support the maintenance of Crisis Management and Emergency Management frameworks, including crisis communication plans, emergency response procedures, and business-wide escalation matrices for EMEA.
- Own crisis management execution for EMEA, applying crisis communication plans and command-structure protocols during disruptions.
- Coordinate cross-functional crisis response, ensuring appropriate representation and coverage from all critical functions throughout business continuity events.
- Deliver business continuity, crisis, and incident management training and awareness sessions for EMEA teams.
- Contribute to comprehensive training and awareness programs at all organizational levels, embedding resilience competencies throughout the enterprise.
- Partner with global business units, technology teams, risk management, and compliance functions to ensure integrated resilience capabilities, while maintaining alignment with global frameworks.
- Support a robust testing and exercising program, including tabletop exercises, call tree exercises, BCP tests & DR exercises to validate BCP effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
- Lead Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Risk Assessments across global operations to inform resilience strategies and recovery time objectives (RTOs).
- Monitor and report on BCMS metrics, KPIs, and KRIs to demonstrate resilience maturity and drive continuous improvement.
Cultural & Strategic Contribution
- Promote and build the Alter Domus brand and culture both internally and externally, acting as an ambassador and role model to embed the Alter Domus Values and our Employer Value Proposition.
- Support a culture of compliance and risk control to mitigate financial, operational and reputational risks.

PROFILE
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management, Incident management with strong technology, cyber recovery knowledge.
- Working technical understanding of Disaster Recovery and IT service continuity.
- Some experience in driving resilience and business continuity for financial services organizations as well as understanding of regulations and technology trends.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, balance strategic and delivery-level priorities, and make confident recommendations to decision makers.
- Preferred professional certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, CBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent.

Monthly Salary: Monthly gross salary for this position is from 2600 EUR to 3000 EUR gross. Final offer will be determined based on your competences, qualifications and professional experiences.
