IT Infrastructure System Engineer
We are looking for a System engineer to join the IT Operations team. The scope of his/her work will be to support Alter Domus infrastructure during US business hours and participate in infrastructure related projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Respond to incidents and requests related to infrastructure, during US time zone
Provide support to IT Teams on specific projects or requests
Help deliver infrastructure projects with the right balance of cost, time, scope, and quality
Provide hands-on expertise on systems related projects and collaborate with other members of the IT Operations Team
Deploy and troubleshoot various types of infrastructure services and platforms
Monitor and measure infrastructure availability and performance
Maintains safe and clean working environment by following and enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including server and client OS, Active Directory and SQL
Experience in administering virtual environments (VMware)
Experience with Microsoft cloud solutions (Azure, Office 365)
Good understanding of network components and standard protocols
Basic knowledge of Citrix solutions
Managed Services and Cloud experience
Understanding of monitoring and reporting platforms, and associated tasks or operations
Familiar with ITIL framework, tickets and Change management and associated workflows
YOUR PROFILE:
At least 5 years of technical background in Systems, being a former System Engineer is an asset.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills
Willingness to work with teams in multiple time zones
Able to interact with all levels of management
Experienced in managing challenging situations with key client requirements and third-party constraints, and expert in building consensus in such situations
You can work under pressure and time constraints and maintain strict attention to detail in high-pressure situations
Able to coordinate multiple 3rd party providers
You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
