Alter Domus is currently seeking a new Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our internal Legal team at our Chicago, IL office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Analyze legal agreement negotiation trends in conjunction with the attorneys and assist in updating legal agreement forms as necessary;
  • Assist with organization of legal documentation in legal team folders;
  • Manage the implementation and rollout of the CRM system for legal agreements within the U.S.;
  • Draft delivery letters and other routine items at the request of the legal team members;
  • Manage the process for maintaining certain databases specific to the work done within the Legal team, including detailed data entry and integrity, tracking, logging, and reporting;
  • Handle routine administration duties, all with a sense of urgency and utmost confidentiality;
  • Prepare closing set signature pages, collateral packages, and communicate with outside parties on overnight delivery; and
  • Assist with other projects as they arise on the legal team.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • A bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 4 years of administrative executive support experience within a global organization; law firm or legal department experience a plus;
  • At least 1 year of experience in a professional/office environment;
  • Outstanding written, verbal communication and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Skilled at maintaining professionalism and confidentiality;
  • Must be committed to a client-focused, collaborative approach;
  • Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment while maintaining outstanding attention to detail and organization;
  • Experience working with executive management, clients, public relations and a range of external contacts; and
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, intellectually curious candidates are highly desirable
