Your role
As an Accounting Manager, you will lead the delivery of accounting and financial reporting services for a portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the full accounting function, managing a team of Accounting professionals, and acting as a key point of escalation for clients and internal stakeholders. This role requires a strong technical accounting background combined with leadership capability and a delivery-focused mindset.
Your responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full suite of accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor management, and expense processing, with U.S. GAAP knowledge required at all levels.
- Take ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all deliverables
- Review and sign off on journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedules
- Directly lead, manage, and develop a team of Officers and Senior Officers, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews
- Drive team capacity planning, workload distribution, and resource allocation to ensure delivery targets are consistently met
- Create a high-performance team culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and continuous development
- Support the career growth of team members through coaching, mentoring, and identifying development opportunities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on Man Co. accounting matters
- Oversee NACHA file creation, submission, and electronic payment processing, ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and controls across the Man Co. delivery function
- Lead year-end reporting including audit preparation, footnotes, 1099 preparation, and regulatory documentation
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the integrity of vendor approval matrices and payment processes
- Partner with senior leadership on strategic delivery initiatives and ad hoc projects
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong technical knowledge of AP/AR, month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations
- Proven experience managing and leading teams in a high-volume, fast-paced accounting environment
- Experience with NACHA files, electronic payment processing, and accounting systems
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with a track record of developing talent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with accounting/ERP systems is essential
